the 3 c of branding authors coaches speakersBranding is one of those hot terms that confuse most people. In this post, you will learn about our team’s 3 C’s of Branding for Authors, Speakers, Coaches and Consultants, so that you can have a more defined concept of what branding is and how it differs from overall marketing efforts.

The objective of branding is to instill trust and create a connection with your target audience. When you brand right, your potential customers will immediately recognize your business, your service, and the value you offer (with your book, speech, info-products, and coaching packages).

A successful brand is consistent in the message it communicates. It is part of your identity. It tells your potential clients why they should work with you or buy your products and trainings, and reminds your current clients why they chose you and should remain loyal to your business.

The 3 C’s of Branding are:

Corporate Design: refers to the creative, visual representation of your brand. It is critical to effectively name your brand and choose colors, fonts and icons/images that truly express your value. Even when you have different books or programs, there should be compelling and consistent elements that create common ground.

Corporate Behavior:¬†delineates what you (or your organization) believe in: Your Message! This aspect allows you to really put into words why you do what you do and how you do it, and allows you to really connect with your audience at an emotional level, answering their expected question: “why should I do business with you?” or as many would say “what’s in it for me?”

Corporate Communication:¬†refers to how you present your company/product/service to the media. By crafting creative materials that educate and create trust and emotional attachment, you can influence a prospect’s buying decision.

  1. This is awesome information indeed. I do agree that branding is very important to getting your customers. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Great tips and suggestions. About a year ago, my husband was teasing me that I was running a small business from all the interaction that I get on my blog. When it comes to posting on my blog or social media, I always conduct myself in a professional manner.

  3. These are very good points to keep in mind when we start developing ideas for our new business. You’re right, a successful brand has a consistent image and message, and it rarely veers from the brand’s agenda.
